TEMPEST IN A TEAPOT by Eric Masangkay

Tempest in a teapot is an artiquity - combining a certified antique item with the craftsmanship of an up and coming artist. A great table top decor and discussion piece. Eric Masangkay’s works attempt to capture the human experience and condition through sculptures inspired by classical figures and gestures, thereby provoking intrigue in one hand, and uncertainty in the other whilst weaving the boundaries between real and surreal. A Fine Arts major from the University of the Philippines Diliman, the multi-awarded artist has lent his talent to various group shows, competitions, as well as workshops, most notably with the NGO, Third World Movement Against Exploitation of Women and Children (TWMAEWC), which utilizes art therapy to help abused women and children. He has mounted solo exhibitions at the Ayala Museum, the SSS Gallery, and the Kape Kesada Gallery.
