KATHA Award recognizes well-designed products in order to raise the standards of design and manufacturing of Philippine products. It encourages a spirit of creativity and innovativeness among Filipino designers, manufacturers, and would-be producers, in order to remain competitive in the export market.

Entry Validation

Deadline of submission. CITEM & Design Center secretariat validate entries for eligibility and completion.

08 Oct. 2025

Initial Deliberation

Jurors convene online to assess all valid entries and select a shortlist from the digital Book of Entries.

14 Oct. 2025

Final Deliberation

Actual shortlisted entries will be displayed onsite during ingress for the jury to deliberate awardees (except for Best Booth).

16 Oct. 2025

Final Deliberation (Best Booth)

Jurors will convene at the World Trade Center to conduct an onsite evaluation of the booths on the trade show floor.

16 Oct. 2025

Awarding Ceremony

After deliberations, the jurors will be invited to the Awarding Ceremony.

May 2026 onwards

Good Design Award Philippines & G Mark Japan

KATHA winners are automatically advanced to the final deliberations for the Good Design Award Philippines and subsequently the G Mark Japan.

For Best Product Design
FORM: Execution of the idea, presentation, appeal, and ability to communicate purpose.
FUNCTION: Capability of product to deliver its intended purpose with clarity.
INNOVATION: Ingenuity and capacity to enrich human life with new or improved material or process.
POSITIVE USER EXPERIENCE: Deep understanding of end-users considering usability, accessibility, and emotional impact.
MALASAKIT: Measurable impact in line with United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For Best Booth Design
CONCEPT (25%): Strength and clarity of the idea reflecting the brand's identity.
USE OF SPACE (25%): Efficiency and creativity in maximizing the booth layout for an inviting atmosphere.
PRODUCT PRESENTATION (25%): How well products are showcased to highlight features and benefits.
VISUAL APPEAL (25%): The overall aesthetic quality to capture attention and evoke interest.
