ARTIPELAGO

ARTIPELAGO is your gateway to the archipelagic realm of the Philippines at Maison et Objet 2024. The exhibit showcases the depth of Filipino creativity through an immersive display of diverse art forms, timeless craftsmanship, and cutting-edge design innovations.

Brought to you by DesignPhilippines, ARTIPELAGO tells a one-of-a-kind story of the Philippines' dynamic arts and design scene. The collection unveils a design landscape unlike any other, blending traditional and contemporary styles to showcase the Philippines’ unique geography, rich history, and diverse cultural influences.

ARTIPELAGO redefines the ordinary, with Filipino designers and artisans incorporating sculptural elements, intricate detailing, and artistic techniques into functional objects such as furniture and lamps and lighting. By showcasing their incredible mastery in techniques like woodcarving, marquetry, and weaving, the participating companies elevate functional pieces into extraordinary art forms through bold experimentation and skillful manipulation of materials such as abaca, rattan, metal, and pineapple and banana fibers.

ARTIPELAGO also features an exceptional collection of paintings and artworks by renowned Filipino artists, curated by Galerie D' Antoine and DF Art Agency.

Join us at Maison et Objet, Hall 6: TODAY, F92-G91, Parc des expositions Paris Nord Villepinte, from January 18 to 22, 2024, to discover Filipino craftsmanship and creativity.

ARTIPELAGO transcends its conventional role, doubling as an immersive art gallery that showcases visual arts along with interior and design products. The exhibit will feature a collection of paintings and artworks from renowned Filipino artists, curated by designer Anton R. Mendoza of Galerie D’Antoine and DF Art Agency.
