The Center for International Trade Exhibitions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Department of Trade and Industry, is set to participate for the first time in Asia’s premium homeware and textile sourcing platform Home InStyle on April 20-23 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Launched in 1986 by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the trade fair offers kitchenware and tableware; interior decor; and bath, beauty, and healthcare products.

This year’s edition of Home InStyle will feature 1,040 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions. The trade fair will have the following features: World of Fine Textiles; Green Living Solution; Hall of Elegance; and the Cultural and Creative Corner.

Manila FAME exhibitors will be part of the show’s Cultural and Creative section that has a top-up display in a curated area featuring designer brands and products with cultural characteristics and unique designs.

In a bid to widen their reach in the Asian market, Philippine brands Arts Meet Crafts and La Bonne Vie are set to showcase their products and promote the upcoming Manila FAME 2024.

Since 2010, Art Meets Craft Inc. has been manufacturing high-end design products. Made from fiber resin and coated with urethane varnish for added gloss, the pieces of Art Meets Craft Inc. are hand-cast and hand-painted, adding a pop of color and distinct vibrant style.

La Bonne Vie is a producer of textiles from Ilocos Sur. The textiles are made by the masters of heirloom weaving in the province. The brand supports its community of weavers by finding markets for their products and professionalizing its system of production and packaging.

For the Hong Kong trade fair, La Bonne Vie will bring various lifestyle products such as bed runners, placemats, table runners, and textiles.

CITEM’s participation in this year’s trade fair  is a renewal of its long-standing partnership with HKTDC, it also marks the agency’s first foray in the sourcing event. Aside from CITEM and its exhibitors, local enterprises Conway Designs Inc. and Sunwood Global Export Corporation are also joining the trade fair. Both companies will showcase handcrafted products.
