PDES Batong Asul House of Silver was established in the early 90s but had already operated in the 80s mainly as a supplier under the trade name, Elizabeth’s Silvercraft. It survived the onslaught of the economic crisis that plagued the silver jewelry industry in Baguio through sheer resolve, persistence, and the grace of the Almighty in preserving its tradition of hand-crafting fine sterling silver jewelry. PDES Batong Asul has a product distinction that is driven by unique design and quality workmanship and shaped by the creative nurturing of human hands. This is reflected in its wide range of products that include rings, pendants, earring, necklaces, bracelets, charms, among others. These products are well executed in plain works, semi-precious stone settings, and turquoise in-lay. The base metal of all of the products is sterling (92.5%) silver and are all skillfully hand-crafted. With these distinctions from other metal crafts, we tell our customer that buying a product made by PDES Batong Asul is not simply purchasing a piece of silver jewelry but investing in a work of art.

Through the years, we remained true to our craft and steadfast in our goal of promoting customer delight. We continue to achieve this because of the support of partners most especially the Department of Trade and Industry in the city and in the region. The efforts of DTI-CAR and DTI-Baguio have enabled the sustained participation of PDES Batong Asul in a number of regional and national trade fairs such as CITEM, Impakabsat, Session Road in Bloom, among others. DTI-CAR and DTI-Baguio have also facilitated the engagement of PDES Batong Asul in the initiatives of Design Center Philippines and the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP). The fairs and events of the BDTP such as the annual Sikat Pinoy Arts and Crafts Fair is a significant driver in helping entrepreneurs to promote and market their products especially by offering the chosen companies to participate free of charge. PDES Batong Asul is also a member of PHILEXPORT-CAR and works in collaboration with the DTI and the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. (PHILEXPORT), a national organization committed to working for the continuing development of the Philippines and the prosperity of the Filipinos through exports.
