ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Born and raised in the Philippines, Jill Lao spent seven years in a corporate setting before pursuing a career change in New York City. She graduated with a degree in fashion design from Parsons and quickly learned the industry ropes – notably at designer label Oscar de la Renta, contemporary brand Marissa Webb, and eveningwear and bridal studio Naeem Khan.

Informed by her stays in high-paced New York and nonchalantly cool Paris, Jill established her label in her hometown Manila to dress the modern woman – ladies who have transitioned from wearing the latest trends to favoring distinctive classics that are easy, elegant, and cool.

With an emphasis on sustainability and ease of dressing as a way of life, Jill aims to design multi-use clothing, fashion that is meant to last more than one season. Each piece is well-thought out and well-crafted – one that is designed to be cherished for years to come.

Our ethos is to create wearable pieces of joy. We design with the intent that our styles will last a lifetime, are not disposable, and can be styled with existing pieces in one’s closet. We manufacture with integrity and work closely with our sewers to maintain the high standard of detail.
