●Timbermate – HMT Industries Corp. (formerly known as HM Trading), was founded by the late Mr. Bhagi Mirpuri in 1990, with his older brother,    Mr. Pribhu Mirpuri, and nephew, Mr. Haresh Mirpuri, as a trader of Philippines’ indigenous weaving raw materials like Abaca, Seagrass, Raffia, Palm, Bamboo, and Rattan, amongst others with business address in Angeles, Pampanga to support its mother company, Duru’s Industries Corp. a leading furniture and handicrafts exporter since the 80s, and to support Furniture & Furnishings manufacturing industry as well.

●From its humble beginning, HM Trading has established itself as a leading source of various weaving raw materials, handwoven mats, and manufacturing supplies. In the late 90s, HMT ventured into manufacturing Laminated Panels using bamboo, coco shells, and capiz shells making it one of the PIONEERs in the Interior Paneling business.

●HMT started joining local and international trade fairs for Furniture & Furnishings, Architecture and Interior Design, the Hospitality Industry, Building Construction, and the Woodworking Industry.

●HMT’s decorative panel collection evolved when Mr. Bhagi’s daughter, Ms. Marja Mirpuri, joined HMT in the Year 2003 after being a Creative & Promotions Directress of Duru’s Industries Corp for more than a decade. Duru’s participation at various international trade fairs of Furniture and Lighting in Europe plus Ms. Mirpuri’s studies at PSID contributed to HMT’s innovation and evolution of panel designs, patterns, and finishes and customization of panel sizes which resulted in unlimited interior applications.

●The company, which was initially established as a single proprietorship changed its business entity to a corporation in 2010, for better global representation.
