The PCCI is a non-stock, non-profit business organization created to represent the majority of businesses and enterprises in the country for purposes of economic growth, SME development, local, regional and global competitiveness, among others. It is primarily composed of corporate members, local chambers of commerce nationwide, industry associations, bilateral business councils, etc.
The PCCI is a result of the merger in July 1978 by the Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (1903) and the Philippine Chamber of Industries (1950). It was then recognized as the single voice of Philippine business by then President Ferdinand Marcos through a Letter of Instruction 780 in December 1978.
The PCCI in partnership with Huawei established the Innovation Center, a start-up incubator which provides Filipinos opportunities to learn in-demand skills such as AI, data analytics, robotics, IoT through tailored curriculums and certification programs that will facilitate learning skills for entrepreneurs, established businesses, startups, LGUs;
The PCCI conducts a series of Lending Solutions Program for MSMEs engaging financial institutions, government and commercial banks in presenting various loan portfolios that are made accessible for MSMEs;
We have several Sectoral Committees which engage members into discussion, dialogue and networking on specific industries of concern - energy, agriculture, IT and innovation, banking and taxation, smart cities and urban development, sustainable development goals, intellectual property, tourism, SME, environment and climate change, education, mineral resources development, corporate governance and capital market, transportation and logistics;
We have Chamber Management Workshops which train and update MSMEs through their respective local chambers on chamber development, capability-building, skills training, management practices, etc;
We organize Area Business Conferences and the Philippine Business Conference which provide a platform for members, partners and all our networks to engage with government officials, industry stakeholders, business mentors, funding partners and business startups to discuss and network on matters of mutual interest;
We host a variety of fora, seminars, business meetings to cater to specific needs of our members; business matching activities and trade missions.
Our local chambers have been designated ARTA champions to address ARTA issues and or complaints on ease of doing business in the localities.
PCCI processes and issues the Certificate of Origin; facilitates the issuance of APEC Business Travel Card; provides opportunities for training and scholarship; provides service and referral on alternative dispute resolution; disseminates trade inquiries; promotes trade fairs and expositions here and abroad.
