The Shine & Sparkle story began in 2006. Niha our founder and CEO, is a stay at home mom who had a burning desire to do something more. Taking inspiration from her colorful heritage and rich natural resources of Mindanao, she began making earrings from salt water pearls and shells.
She made handcrafted earrings at first and sold them at bazaars and trade fairs. The positive feedback was overwhelming, so she decided to turn her vision into a business. She was inspired by memories of her making beautiful trinkets in her mom’s jewelry store as a child. The pivotal time in her life fueled her belief that women can manage a home and an enterprise too.
