SUSTAINABLYMADE - MARSSE

SustainablyMade® (by MARSSE Tropical Timber) wooden products are made from sustainably farmed premium Honduras Mahogany, Teak or other hardwood from the MARSSE Tropical Timber tree farm in Umingan, Pangasinan, Philippines.

SustainablyMade means that these wooden products are made from trees grown in a sustainable tree farm, and not from natural growth trees from our already diminishing natural forests.

Our small wooden products are made from branches, trunks, stumps, and roots--which come from our bigger products like flooring and furniture--so that no wood is wasted at the tree farm.

Each wooden product is crafted, sanded and finished by local farm workers employed from around the sustainable tree farm community.

The wood’s natural cut, color, grain and knots makes each product one-of-a-kind. For-Food products (like bowls and serving boards) are finished only with extra virgin olive oil and bee's wax, while Not-For-Food products (like mobile phone and tablet stands) are finished with tung oil and bee's Wax. These products are natural in color and darkens over time.

*For-Food products (like bowls and serving boards): To enjoy your wooden product for years to come, wipe clean or wash

with a mild detergent and non-abrasive sponge. After washing, wipe dry then air dry completely, and moisturize with extra virgin olive oil occasionaly. Do not keep in a dark and damp place to avoid molds and wood insects.
